In honor of Black Philanthropy Month, MCWEN is pleased to host the Purpose Pitch Tour to showcase ideas and projects from purpose-driven visionaries and Founders. Selected candidates will pitch their ventures to a panel of judges and event attendees for a chance to win 1 of 2 microgrants: $250 & a Diamond membership to MCWEN (winner) and $100 & a gold membership to MCWEN (second place). Applicants will be judged on innovation, sustainability, and potential for growth.
We are especially interested in Black women-led nonprofits and social enterprises in the startup, or early growth stages. If that's you, click the link below to submit your application today for a chance to win.

Step 1- Register to participate by clicking the link below.
Please note that incomplete applications or applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered. -
Step 2- Pitch competition!
Applications will pitch before a panel of judges and meet-up attendees. Each applicant will be able to pitch their business idea for 5 minutes, and receive feedback from expert judges.
The winner and 2nd-place participant will be announced at the Embracing YOU Conference on August 21, 2021. All applicants will receive a complimentary ticket to attend the virtual announcement session.
Rules & Eligibility:

Applicants do not need to be a member of MCWEN to apply. However, application is free to MCWEN members. The application fee for non-members is $15.

Applicants must have a legally-registered entity (nonprofit or social enterprise). Proof of registration is required.

Applications must be completed fully and submitted by deadline. Late and incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Only one representative is allowed to pitch per organization. Colleagues, family and friends may attend for free and to network by reserving their spot using the link below.
