2024 PURPOSE PITCH TOUR

THE PITCH COMPETITION FOR PURPOSE-DRIVEN ENTREPRENEURS

Each year, in honor of Black Philanthropy Month, we are pleased to host the Purpose Pitch Tour to showcase ideas and projects from purpose-driven visionaries and Founders. This year is no exception, with two (2) rounds of competition on May 18th (Charlotte, NC) and August 17th (Baltimore, MD).

Selected candidates will pitch their ventures to a panel of judges and event attendees for a chance to win 1 of 2 microgrants:

1st Place - $1,000 microgrant, a Diamond membership to MCWEN, social media brand update, and business coaching. ($2,500 value)
2nd Place - $500 microgrant, a Gold membership to MCWEN, and business coaching. ($1,500 value)

Applicants will be judged on innovation, sustainability, and potential for growth. We are especially interested in women of color-led entities in the startup, or early growth stages. If that's you, submit the application by below for a chance to win.

Rules & Eligibility:

Please note that applicants do not need to be a member of MCWEN to apply.
Current and former staff and Local Coordinators for MCWEN are ineligible to apply.
Applicants must have a legally-registered entity. Proof of registration will be required.
Applications must be completed fully and submitted by deadline
(May 14th - Spring Competition, an August 3rd - Summer Competition).
Late and incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Only one representative is allowed to pitch per organization.
Applicant must be in attendance at the conference to participate. Colleagues, family and friends may also attend by reserving a "general admission" ticket here.

Please note that pitch decks not submitted with the application will not be permitted for use during presentation.

I understand that MCWEN is committed to creating a safe and welcoming space for all of our attendees and pitch participants, no matter where they are in their spiritual walk or business development. As such, as a Purpose Pitch participant I will refrain from making negative or derogatory statements of any nature. I also understand that there is a zero tolerance policy for violating the terms and conditions, and that this is a faith-based organization focused on empowering women entrepreneurs. Offensive, vulgar and discriminatory content may result in automatic disqualification.

Photo Release Statement: I understand and agree that my image and/or audio may be used for future promotional purposes by MCWEN.

I understand that the application fee is nonrefundable, even in the event that I am unable to attend or participate in the Pitch Competition for any reason. I also understand that I must be in attendance to participate. To register for the conference, please purchase a General Admission ticket.
