Divine Acceleration (Speed + Distance = Time)

Updated: May 26

One day, I heard an equation that resonated in my spirit, (Speed + Distance = Time). As I researched this combination of words, God began to download revelation that will free anyone who thinks they are stuck in a season.

First, let’s define this equation. According to a dictionary, speed is defined as the rate at which someone or something can move or operate. Distance is the full length of a race. Time is a plan or schedule when something should happen or be done. Let’s look at what God’s word has to say about this phrase. In Scripture, Ecclesiastes 9:11, “The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.” In Exodus 3, God revealed to Moses it was his appointed time to confront Pharaoh and lead the people of Israel out of bondage. A forty-day trip turned into a forty-year experience in the wilderness, a divine appointment for Moses that accelerated him into his purpose as a leader and a deliverer. Isaiah 43:19 states, “Behold, I will do a NEW thing, now it shall spring forth, shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Psalms 31:15 states, “My time is in God’s hands.

As we enter into business or step out on faith into a new venture, most of us have no idea the magnitude of blessings God has in store for us. According to the world standard, success can mean many things. I believe one of the worst things we can do is compare our success to what someone has posted on Facebook or one of the social media outlets. Are we stuck in a season, or is this a tactic of the enemy to blind us from what God is doing in us and through us? Do the glam and lights of temporary success blind us? Do you want God to accelerate your business in a way that no man can understand? Patience births Purpose! As God is working patience in us, he will complete what he started.

A delay is not a denial. Behind the scene, God is accelerating us to the next level. Never let anyone tell you, “It’s too late,” “You missed your chance.” “You’re too old.” “Your vision, idea, or plans for business won’t work.” If God said it, he will do it and he will make provision to bring it to pass. He is all-knowing and working on your behalf. Your waiting season is your preparation season. God is building character, strengthening and educating you for your next season. Let this scientific equation keep you. Let patience have his perfect work in you, James 1:4-8. Remember, speed (rate of movement) + distance (the length of a race) = time (when something should happen or be done).

Embrace the season you are in and trust God. Ask God to give you wisdom and knowledge in every season of your life. God plans to prosper you, to give you a future and a hope, Jeremiah 29:11. God said, “He will not withhold no good thing from you, Psalms 84:11. God will not let your faithfulness go unrewarded. Therefore, remain faithful and God will reward you expediently with divine acceleration.

Woman of God, you are EMPOWERED!
