Yet, the average revenue for a women-of-color owned business is $66,400, compared to the average revenue of $212,300 for a non-minority owned business.

The Minority Christian Women Entrepreneurs Network (MCWEN) is a thriving community for Christian women of color who have an interest in entrepreneurship and business ownership. Using the Proverbs 31 woman as a model, MCWEN seeks to support women to become impactful and positively influential in their homes, community, and at work. For us, it's not just business as usual.

Sabrena Mervin-Blake
Senior Project Manager, Minister, Coach, and Mentor
Sabrena Mervin-Blake has been a licensed minister for over 20 years and is known as one who loves to teach the Word of God in simple life-applicable terms, for she believes, “People are dying to know how to live.” She has served in many ministry roles including youth leader, women’s ministry leader, praise and worship leader, pastors spouses coordinator, and associate minister. Minister Mervin-Blake also provides pastoral care to incarcerated women through Grace Covers.

Minister Mervin-Blake has a BS degree in Biology, Master’s Degree in Clinical Research, and is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She is a mother, wife, first lady, mentor, career professional, entrepreneur, and an Impact and Empowerment Christian Life Coach. She is author of E.D.I.T. ™ Mindset Transformation Coaching Program and Bursting Forth the Power Within: Messages of Hope by Women of Faith. She is founder and CEO of SMB Ministries, LLC and also runs a life coaching practice, Coaching with Sabrena.

Currently, Minister Mervin-Blake serves in ministry with her husband, Elder James Blake, Pastor of Fisher Memorial United Holy Church, Durham, North Carolina.
